Seasons: Earth’s tilt matters

Earth spins with its axis tilted. During part of the year, one hemisphere receives more direct sunlight and longer days.

That hemisphere experiences summer while the other experiences winter. The seasons are opposite north and south of the equator.

Wonder about this

If Sweden has summer, must Australia also have summer?

A science clue

No. They are in opposite hemispheres and have opposite seasons.
