Our Moon: a turning companion

The Moon is Earth’s natural satellite. Its dusty, rocky surface has craters and dark plains.

We usually see the same side because the Moon turns once during each trip around Earth. The far side also gets sunlight.

Wonder about this

Does the far side of the Moon stay dark forever?

A science clue

No. Both near and far sides experience daylight and darkness.
